Experience counts. At the age of 16, as I began to compete in hair competitions, learning the valuable lessons of discipline and asking for help. Despite facing challenges like losing my first business to a fire, I quickly bounced back and expanded, introducing the concept of the Day Spa to the Western Pennsylvania region in 1986.Giving back to my community and profession are my passions. Over the decades I have been fortunate to serve in leadership positions. raising millions of dollars for numerous organizations, from my local communities to global concerns.

At 35, this journey led me to the Art & Fashion Group International, where I was elected as the first female to lead the organization. I'm also proud of establishing NEDCO, North East Distribution Company, which imported innovative skin and hair products to the United States.

Driven by a need to automate the selling process in my own business, I envisioned a solution of instant bar-coded gift certificates that could be printed right from my website. I remained steadfast in my vision, as code-writers laughed out loud at this idea. When my concept was finally built, it transformed our revenue system, creating an exciting new virtual location. Within that year, I started SpaEdge Inc, to provide this service to Spa's and Salon's across the country. Today, the beauty industry is transformed from my concept.

Seeing where there is a need instructed me to start the Annual Cut-A-Thon in 1995, to raise funds for homeless children. While Board Chair for a domestic violence organization, The Dove Center and Shelter, we raised funds and built an award winning, state of the art, safe shelter for women, children and pets. My husband, Daryl, and I started The Force, a capital campaign to bring a Cancer Care center to Garrett County, Maryland, while residing there. Over the decades it has been my honor to serve on over 20 professional boards of governance, often in the leadership position. Today, I serve on the board of directors for The Daily Gratitude Movement, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering the lives of all humans through the power of daily gratitude.
